Worth watching?

Yes indeed.

Of all the Australian Police dramas, Stingers is the one that held my interest continuously from start to finish. The characters are believable and the story lines are well crafted. The show is all about undercover police operations and is filmed entirely in Melbourne.

in my opinion, yes. i liked very much that is was shot in melbourne, a city i don't know, nor see portayed a lot. the stories sometimes are over the top, but that is half the fun. i have seen all episodes at least twice and feel a hangover now that the reruns have stopped.

Definitely. I'm up to season 3, about halfway, and I'm hooked. It's so well put together and the storylines and dialogue aren't dumbed-down, which is rare. The characters are likeable, the pacing just right and I have nothing negative to say about the series, despite one or two eps in the roughly 50 I've seen to far that I found a bit wanting; even those are better than standard tv fare. Stingers is a revelation to me. One of those rare shows that holds my interest across seasons, despite watching it ep to ep, at the rate of about an ep a day.

Here's hoping they continue to release the dvds in a timely (rapid!) manner. Nex

Definatly. I've just finished watching the first 2 seasons which I got for CHristmas and I bought Season 4 recently. But I'm waiting for Season 3 to arrive in my mailbox before I can carry on.

Absolutely. In my opinion, Stingers is the best cop show ever made in Australia. OK, the quality may dropped off a bit in later seasons, but thats mainly because of a later timeslot and, therefore, a lower audience.
