stingers headquarters?
so could anyone figure out where the undercover unit headquarters was? im rewatching the series trying to look for clues where in Melbourne it is.
any help is appreciated
Hi. Having lived in Melbourne for a bit I did get around to see a lot of places. Since I had some free-time on my hands I decided to try and find the location of certain buildings used throughout this series. Eventually I found the "factory", as the unit in the series called it, located at 17 Marine Parade, Abbotsford, Victoria:

Another frequently used location is the pub at the Terminus Hotel which is located, again, in Abbotsford at 605 Victoria Street:

Being a huge fan of this series it felt somewhat surreal to be wandering around places where many scenes from the series were shot. As apparent as it may be, I will stress that this was a well-made series that deserved all the praise it earned, and it certainly did not warrant such an abrupt cancellation. It really is a dreadful pity that it stopped all too-suddenly and it pretty much got shelved, while Home And Away, a project of far lesser value in terms of good television shows, stays in production. This world is messed up.

thanks for this, I really should have updated my previous post I did find it also, I found where it was through an episode I think Season 4 where someone hacks into their computer systems and discivers the headquarters. Yep Abbotsford! I thought it was there also because the Terminus is in Abbotsford also. Thats what I love abou tthe shpow their very true to the locationsand being a Melbourne boy its great seeing spots wehre they filmed episodes etc.
Pretty dorky but me and a friend are going to head to Abbotsford and take some pics of the old headquarters!! hahaha
I don't know if you should be taking photos. I nearly ran into trouble when I tried it. There are businesses in that area, and who knows what they'll think if they see you snapping away. But overall, yeah, it's cool to be hanging around the places which were used a lot throughout the series.
Another frequently used location is the Greyhound Hotel located at 1 Brighton Road, St Kilda. The Terminus Hotel in Abbotsford was the local watering hole for undercover cop Peter Church (Peter Phelps), while the Greyhound Hotel provided the location for many of the character's undercover drug busts.
