I gotta admit, I am sick to death of the old episodes. There aren't that many to begin with and after seeing them rerun 500,000 times apiece on adult swim, my interest level in it is the equivalent of paid programming. Aren't there only like 17 episodes?! I love Home Movies and I'm actually starting to go bonkers from seeing those episodes so many times. And there's usually nothing else to watch late at night, unless I get lucky and there's a South Park episode rerun somewhere.

It's been 9 years now...I wonder how well they'll maintain the cartoon to the original. And if all the same voice actors will be back?

They just ran a promo on AS. I was lucky to catch it.. I rarely watch AS anymore, I was a huge fan back a few years ago. Anyway I'm pretty excited for this. I was always a fan of the Oblongs and I hope they actually go through with bringing it back.

I'm here because I saw something on AS just now about the show coming back...

One of those "black background/white letters" bits where someone supposedly has written in asking if what they saw on Wiki was true...that it was being brought back.

AS's answer was "We asked people if The Oblongs were coming back. Some said yes. Some said no."

Why make the spot if it wasn't true? I imagine the "no" was from Will Farrell...but what can you do?

I'm nervous about this - I remember when they tried to bring back "Ren and Stimpy" on Spike - but will definitely be watching the day it premiers (if it does).

To celebrate I'll get the skeleton out of my closet and make soup....

Did that have a point? The Oblongs is a funny show. Why shouldn't one be excited for new episodes? Though, I must admit, my joyous refrain may have been premature. This project seems like it'll fall through. That's sad, as many other shows get developed and then dropped early after a few episodes. New The Oblongs episodes sound like they won't even air before being cancelled.

I said "so...yeah" in reference to the fact that new episodes were "coming" and there has been a year with no word on it's revival. I was expressing my skepticism towards the likelihood of it coming back. I wasn't responding to you spooging yourself over the news.

Nope, you're wrong. That's the only way to reply. Unfortunately, IMDB doesn't have a standard reply button at the top of the page like a normal messageboard. You have to reply from the last message posted, depending on how you have your boards set up here, like I just did right now. So don't think you're special because someone hit the button next to your name...it's the only button available on the last message posted and it could have just as easy been someone else.

I didn't feel special. Why would I? I felt annoyed. Why is it that whenever people are wrong in an arguement, they try to look like they're right by claiming that the other person "feels special"? Someone is special here, and it's not me.

I don't know why you would make that up, but like I said, someone's special, and if you haven't figured it out, then it's you.
