The end where Tom steps outside into the fresh air and sees the bottle of marbles crash down next to him...was that supposed to be a symbol of Tom saving himself because otherwise he would have jumped out a window or is it supposed to be that the Boss jumped out after getting the gift of the marble bottle?
I thought it was the former, but someone else watching the movie suggested the latter. Any thoughts?
It was the boss who used the marbles (as Brad had originally intended to do) and was soon plummeting to his death (as seen in Tom's eye) before the supermanesque character saves the him.
shareI always believed it was Bradley who threw the bottle and then saw Tom and thought about what he had attempted to express earlier and then opted not to jump. So the superhero-toms subconscious-in turn did save Brad because he never jumped.

but it couldn't have been bradley throwing the bottle because tom put it in the gift box that was supposed to be delivered to the boss.
