red necks

I know this story seemed really over the top, but the two couples actually reminded me of characters I have known living many years in the South and Southwest U.S., including the accents. It isn't as unbelievable as you might think.

Not over the top at all. I know people who have some or all of the same characteristics. The gum chewing, the cussing, adults acting like children in public places. Heck, these are my people!

I like movies about old-fashioned country folks – it's like a blast from the past, on into the 70s, 80s, and 90s! But, I certainly could do without all the cursing. Especially since Southerners are pretty good about making up their own phrases that don't involve four letter words, but get the same point across.

If you want real southern talk – watch the Beverly hillbillies or petticoat Junction. And if it isn't real, it should be!

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

Naturally, they take some of the worst stereotypes of southern rednecks, magnify them a bit, and present them in a humorous fashion. Don't make the mistake of applying the attributes of typical to the characters in this movie. Just allow yourself to be entertained and leave it at that.
