Ian Bannen

I remember that when Ian Bannen died, I read an article saying he'd filmed a few scenes of 'Strictly Sinatra' which were going to be reshot. I posted a question on his board asking if anyone knew which part he was going to do but had no luck. Now I've just read some recently-added trivia which says that Alun Armstrong was cast at the last minute; was Bannen going to play the pianoman?
