Distribution Deal in the Works

I have heard that a distribution deal is currently being negotiated
that will finally get Ripley Underground into theatres. This film,
which premiered at the AFI festival last year (see review
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/reviews/review_display.jsp?vnu_c...),
was shot a couple of years ago, but wasn't released. I saw it at AFI
and the audience loved it, so I can't imagine why this has taken so
long.
This is a great movie for Ripley fans: lots of fun, with Alan Cummings
and Claire Forlani and Willem Dafoe and Tom Wilkinson, who are better
than the leads, and make the movie worth seeing. Spread the word,
Highsmith Fans!

Where did you hear about the distribution deal?

I would like to hear more about this deal too. Do you have any links to news items about the deal? The last I heard was just over a year ago when actor Tom Wilkinson said he thought it would never get a distribution deal http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050624a.php/
