One of my 'Christmas movies'

...That I watch every year around this time of year. I am surprised how many people don't like it or complain that it's the same story line in other movies. Duh, Hollywood has a habit of doing that, no big deal in my book. I love the actors and the story. 10 out of 10!

This movie was recommended by a co-worker some years ago, and it has been one of my favorites as well. I also watch it around this time of year.
Yea, I don't know why people complain so much about the same script. Some movies do it more than others. This one is not as extreme as some. It put Tea Loeni on the map for me.

I forgot about Nobody's Fool. Love Paul Newman in that and Jessica Tandy. I also watch The Santa Clause, One Magic Christmas and the first Die Hard.

reply

I've never seen it before, but it's on my lists of ones to watch again and again now. What a great movie.

reply

I'm going to watch it for the first time next week, I hope it hasn't aged badly as it's 13 years old now.

I'm not saying a movie has to be brand new to be enjoyable, it's just when it's older I get distracted by the old technology/clothes.

reply

No, it's still good. I'm watching it now and I'm not getting distracted at all.

So katesfancydress, you won't watch a 90's movie or older because it doesn't have current technology in it? That's too bad, you're really missing out.

Some of my Christmas movies are Bad Santa, Home Alone, Nightmare Before Christmas, Scrooged, It's A Wonderful Life, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Family Man is actually one that I usually don't watch at Christmas.
