What happen to people who fail the tests

Do they go to hell?

Ever have yourself put into this situation? Or any like it? and think your being tested?

reply

I didn't see it as a test

reply

It wasn't a test. "Cash" (Don Cheadle's character) knew how it would turn out.

reply

of course its a test! the guy even takes notes after the girl leaves the store when he gave her too much change.

reply

My interpretation was that people who didn't do the right thing (didn't pass the "test") didn't receive guidance for their lives. Whether they're all glimpses or something different, I believed that Jack was given the glimpse only because he demonstrated altruism.

reply

It is a glimpse.

It's funny how society is receptive to this junk supernatural moralism, but rejects Christianity, which is 100% intellectually and spiritually satisfying -- and also happens to be objectively and historically true.

reply

There is so much fail in that run on sentence.
But this isn't the place to address your lack of education

reply

It's not a run-on sentence. I graduated as a literature major from a top liberal arts school. Do you understand the difference between adverbs and adjectives? Look at that sentence a bit more closely -- perhaps you should diagram it, but I'm guessing you don't know how to diagram sentences. Your grammar, on the other hand -- why would you begin a sentence with a conjunctive?

In your naive self-centered arrogance, you are imposing your flawed, sinful values upon the perfect, holy God who created the universe and who has graciously provided for our salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. God has provided what I consider to be the ultimate "life hack" through Christ. He wants to liberate us from sin and death -- you just need to open your eyes to the truth of what occurred in history when He first gathered a nation to Himself (the hebrews) and then was amazingly born into this world as a human being. The incarnation is a mind-blowing miracle.

Ultimately, Jesus will wipe away our tears and rid this world of any remnant of suffering. Until then, Jesus suffers with us. If we, in our flawed, sinful perceptions, can experience sympathy when we see suffering children, etc., how much more do you think Jesus, who created these children, feels such sympathies!!

reply

Sorry.....don't buy it.

reply

it's objectively true, and you are subject to it, whether you buy it or not. I find it incredibly inspiring, comforting and motivating -- it's all a matter of perspective and attitude!

They don't get to be in a movie with Nicholas Cage and Tea Leoni?
I liked the movie but would have loved to have seen more of Don Cheadle who played Cash. Maybe he could have given Cage some advice along the way during the glimpse. A little background on who he was would have been nice too. I just assumed he was some type of guardian angel like Clarence in "It's A Wonderful Life".
