Naming nuts scene

'I used to be able to name every nut that there was. And it used to drive my mother crazy, because she used to say, "Harlan Pepper, if you don't stop naming nuts," and the joke was that we lived in Pine Nut, and I think that's what put it in my mind at that point. So she would hear me in the other room, and she'd just start yelling. I'd say, "Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut." That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!" And Hubert used to be able to make the sound, he couldn't talk, but he'd go "rrrawr rrawr" and that sounded like Macadamia nut. Pine nut, which is a nut, but it's also the name of a town. Pistachio nut. Red pistachio nut. Natural, all natural white pistachio nut.'

That scene literally had me in tears laughing, it's so hilarious!

That was my favorite scene! It was so hilarious.

I die laughing at that scene.

The director's commentary with Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy on that scene is just about as good.

This was the first scene in any movie that I literally was rolling on the floor in laughter.

Definitely one of the funniest scenes in the film. I especially love the way he says "macadamia nut" like as if he's showing off that he knows thye name of that nut.

My kids will text me "Name Nuts," and we'll spend an hour or so texting this game with each other!

Definitely one of the funniest scenes in the movie. Christopher Guest is awesome

The funniest scene in the movie. Followed closely by his fly fishing monologue at the reception. "Egg sucking leech".

I love that you can tell Christopher Guest is on the verge of breaking/laughing during that scene and he's trying to hold back. Mostly when he says macadamia nut. I remember watching an interview with him and he said in This Is Spinal Tap when they visit the air force base and they first walk in you keep watching him in the background hiding behind different people because he couldn't keep a straight face when Fred made his speech about letting their hair down. Classic

"These pretzels are making me thirsty!"

Someone needs to make a mashup of that scene and Bubba's shrimp scenes from "Forrest Gump" on YouTube.

You have to see the deleted scene where he is talking about his beach ball collection...

You just have to be resigned-
You're crashing by design
