A woman pretended to be dead, fooling her abusive husband.

There was a pharmacist, 3 children, whose story was almost identical to this story. Only served a few months. Wife felt threatened and has to move out of state and make a new life.
The problem with these type of movies is that they are so common nowadays.

I know the story that you are talking about. The one about the pharmacist. But that happened at the same time the movie came out. Do you think this is the basis?
