Two Unresolved Questions about Film

I thought it was a decent movie, but I have two lingering questions about the plot.

1) Why did Alice have the bag of sesame seeds? She obviously didn't try to kill him, and it really made no sense for her to try to kill him, since Gary still needed him. And she wasn't a killer anyway. If Gary had gotten to the point where he was going to get rid of her, he'd have one of his own people do it. The seeds seemed like a really unnecessary red herring.

2) If Lisa was really on Gary's side, why did she go through the effort of creating the CDs which would create the anti-Gary message? She could have pretended to create the materials and she could even have given Milo fake materials to make him think she was going along with him, but it made no sense for her to leave the actual anti-Gary stuff in there when it was time to go live. And if Lisa was actually working for Gary, why didn't she tell Gary about Milo's backup plan? If Milo hadn't told her about the backup plan because he didn't trust her, why did he trust her on the primary plan?
