Killer whos head they opened up...

i used to watch this show all the time when it was on, and at the end of every show, they open up the ripleys vault and its usually something pretty grotesque.
i was wondering if any fans of the show could help me with one particular episode. cain began telling the story of a crazed killer (i think he was german) and how when he died, they decided to open up his head, so they can examine the mans brain and maybe learn why he committed all heinous crimes, dean opened up the head, and it was hollow, it didnt have a brain...
does this mean that that man lived his entire life without a brain? i highly doubt that that is possible...
does anyone remember this? i was probably 11 when i saw it, so maybe i didnt understand... thanks.

I don't seem to remember this episode but about your question about the brains, they probably took it out and after they were done experimenting with it desposed of it as medical waste. Plus it would've deteriated anyway.

OMG! I saw that too! When I saw it, I was like "wtf?" I couldn't really believe it.. I mean, that's not possible. But I always wondered what that was all about!
