Why I Like This Film ...

I like this film because we witness the Czech holocaust experience ... which was much different than Poland and Germany. In particular we see how things slowly go bad ... which is the real lesson of WW2. Additionally we get to learn about Sir Nickolas Winton who was responsible for the rescue of over 600 Czech children. Finally these stories are told without showing any cattle cars or concentration camps ... which is often presented somewhat sensational fashion.

Winton is a man we should all emulate. to learn more about him may I suggest the docudrama "Nicky's Family"

or the documentary "The Power of Good"
