Everything you are about to see is true. Sorry I meant not.
Why oh why do these documentary style films say this? And why is it always shot from found footage? We know it's not real. Do they really think we are going to fall for it? Although you always get a few! I meanly seriously? Anyone old enough and perhaps British to remember "Ghostwatch"? Well, fool me once, blad-de-blah... fool me twice, not a chance!
There are plenty of great horror stories based around the premise of visiting a haunted, creepy house to investigate and they never needed the irritating shaking camera and teenagers flashing lights under their chins. I was so glad that in this movie the characters were sensible enough to think to turn on the lights. I loathed the Blair Witch Project if you didn't guess. It isn't getting any more original or scary the more we see it. I understand that this film is now practically vintage viewing but filmmakers are still churning it out. This was better than most and at least the characters didn't bawl and scream all the way through. Yes Jennifer Carpenter I mean you.
