Anybody know the name of the French song which is sung I seem to remember over the top of the couple running around a beach . . . not a particularly memorable song but I'd like to know what it is anyway

I think you must mean "La Maison Ou J'Ai Grandi", by Francoise Hardy, orig. 1966.

that song is marvelous. Used to sing it all the time when younger. Makes me cry now thinking about it lol...talk about nostalgy

Hardy sings it beautifully but it's when I hear the nostalgic almost desperate voice of Adriano Celentano that I cry...but I definitely will look into the best of Francoise.
