Why was Gary Sinise not credited

I saw this the other day and thought that Gary Sinise played the part of George Wallace. He did that part in a biopic of the man. However, he did not show up in the credits and in the imdb he is noted as uncredited. Anyone know why why?
Thanks
Bob

Sinise played Gov Wallace in TNT's "George Wallace" which was also directed by John Frankenheimer. I dont know why he wasnt credited, but this is obviously an inside favor Sinise did for Frankenheimer.

That's especially wrong since Sinise gave one of the best performances ever as an historic character and appeared in this movie as an obvious favor. Gambon could have (and should have) learned something from Sinise's performance. As a great director's last film, this movie leaves much to be desired.

If a major actor appears in a film and isn't credited it is because they - or their agent - don't want them to be. It is all subject to negotiated contracts - there is no question of Sinise being left out of the credits unless he or his agent agreed to it - probably because it was such a small cameo and he didn't want it to look like he would normally consider accepting such small TV roles.

"Gambon should have learned something from Sinise's performance?? Really????
Michael Gambon is one of the best actors of all time. You didn't like him? Sinise was great, they both were great. Give credit where credit is due. Just sayin'. . .
