Pleasantly Surprised

Having never read the book (nor even heard of Martin Amis), plus being baked, I enjoyed the hell out of this trip of a movie. That's supposed to be a compliment. Not sure why it gets only "one star." God knows we've all seen worse. If nothing else, the movie made me want to read the book---just ordered it at amazon---so that's good, right? That appears to be the consensus here---good book, bad movie.
