Good Enough?

Was this Movie Good Enough to have been released at the theaters? I think it was. I'll be honest with you, I think it is a great movie. I have always criticized Turner Pictures for showing these great movies on TV for free when they should hae been released in movie theaters. Just like the civil war drama "Andersonville" this is another great Turner movie that most of the poeple will never see because they dislike made for TV movies

Budweiser Created a Monster. And they call me Drinkin-stien. Oh Hell Yes, I'm A Cardinals Fan!

I just saw this movie on GetTV tonight. At the closing credits, it said the filming was done in Alberta, Canada where the Canadian Rockies scenery is so prevalent. Lots of mountains and open areas.

Yeah, it’s on par with the average traditional Western/theatrical release, e.g. “The War Wagon” (1967) or “Open Range” (2003), and is more satisfying than most goofy spaghetti Westerns. Selleck towers in the role of the noble protagonist while voluptuous Madsen is formidable in the female department.

But the story loses steam in the last act with a classic shootout-in-town between the heroes and villains. Don’t get me wrong, the fight is muscular and competently executed, it’s just a little lackluster somehow and gives away the flick’s TV origins. Nevertheless, this is a worthwhile modern Western with Harmon superlative as the swindling antagonist.
