Why Kill Bobby

Can someone explain why the owner of the Ciruit (the straight guy with the bleached hair) wanted to kill Bobby. Clearly in the scene where he gives Hector the vial with the orange top, and says, "make sure only Bobby gets this," that was his intent. Hector even says, "this could kill." When Hector and Bobby finally hook up and Bobby says, "You saved my life." Hectore snorts the orange vial and says, "More than you know," essentially committing suicide. But why? Why? Any ideas? I can see why Hector committed suicide. But why did the bar owner want Bobby out of the picture?

I have a friend who saw the movie too, but he didn't know why either.

Help!

He wanted to have Bobby killed because he had bought the insurance policy on his life, so he wanted to collect the pay-off.

I've seen it only once so I may be wrong but I recall that the Circuit owner had taken out an insurance policy on Bobby when he thought Bobby was dying of AIDS. I believe that he had given Bobby like $5000 as an incentive to participate in the scheme. However Bobby got a positive medical prognosis and the owner wanted his money back. Bobby could/would not repay so I guess the owner wanted him killed so he could collect the insurance money as originally planned or he wanted revenge on Bobby or maybe both? Having said all that I may have my characters confused because as someone has already said - there are a lot of them.

All this leads to another question: Did Hector commit suicide to avoid aging or did he decide that Bobby should not be killed and killed himself instead? Did one of them have to die or could Hector have just thrown the vial away?

I believe Hector saw this as his way out, of the party, his unfeeling life, and his lost love of John. Hector had to die, he was the vain gay, couldn't stand to age, so he must die young and beautiful...lol! But still death is not a way out, its a waste!
