THOSE CHEATERS WERE RIGHT, in some ways.
I would say that cheating is wrong unless if you're doing it for a very good reason. They had a good reason for doing it. Their school wasn't the greatest school ever, nor did they have the greatest teachers or teaching materials to be successful. Steinmetz doesn't have to be that perfect, but seriously, how bad can a school become. I go to this college in California and I have to say that even though I didn't expect a whole lot out of this college, I didn't think the teachers were going to be this bad. Some professors I had so far are some of the worst teachers I have ever witnessed and I'm still only a 1st year student. People always say that academics is more important than sports or physical activity. THAT"S BULLSH*T. How can students be successful if they don't even have good professors to learn from? If people say that "oh in college you should be more reliable on yourself when learning." If that's the case, then WHY THE HECK DO WE HAVE PROFESSORS? I know schools are suffering from the economic budget, but seriously, what they need to do is evaluate professors more. I mean where did these professors get these teaching degrees? If you say that "oh you obviously didn't try hard enough in high school and you ended up in this crappy college," then what I have to say is that some students are at a mental disadvantage than others. Not all students are able to achieve as much as students in Harvard, Standford, or even a UC.
Just like in the movie, people don't expect you to achieve greatness if you come from a bad high school or college. But what they should say is that "why isn't that school so good. How do we get it to become better."
