...Because it basically is a period piece set in the mid-nineties. Being born in '83', I was a child of the nineties and when I watch this movie it reminds me of the "feel" of the that era. This is probably due to the nineties music that is played throughout the movie. Is this true for anyone else?

I can see what you mean. I was born the same year, and whenever I hear Nirvana songs like "Come as you are" it takes me right back to the old station wagon I used to carpool in for Pop Warner football in 5th grade. I wouldn't say this movie does that quite yet, but I'm sure in a few years it will feel more and more like a different era...what really might make me feel old are episodes of shows like "Fifteen," but some of those shows got cancelled so quick you never see reruns anymore.
shareWhat makes me feel old is knowing I watched it when it came out and liked Jena and now Jena is old and odd. In fact... I watched jena's very first two movies when they aired on Showtime for the premieres, so just knowing how many years has gone by since then makes me feel old. :(
