Now is this a direct to DVD movie or was there are small theatrical release? I'm curious because I never saw this advertised in theaters at all, but there's no (V) by the title indicating that it's direct to video.

I believe it was a very limited release. But according to the Release Dates section for the movie, it was a DTV in the USA.
