Great film!

I think this is a very underated film, it has highs and lows and ups and downs, maybe its because I'm a wrestling fan but I think I would love this even if i wasn't...by the way Terry Funk 38 retirments and still going strong.

thats true bout funk

I saw him wrestle last november, he's still got it. lol.

I've had this film on VHS for bout 4 years now, and while i was bored one afternoon last week, i watched it again. It's so moving, and it makes me feel sad for the people who do this. Jake roberts for eg, he's had a bad relationship with his family, his career in wrestling has gone down the drain, and recently, he's had legal troubles for drug possesion and animal abuse (He starved his python). Wrestling can either destroy or make your life, Shawn michaels, he's got a good marriage, and has a son, and he still is wrestling, so his career is not stopping.

well done to barry blaustein

Anyone see Jake the snake on WWE just before wrestlemania. He was on to hlp promote a match and he looked like he was about to fall dead right there in the ring. I thought of this movie when I saw him cause he looks 10 times worse eventhough he was "cleaned up" for the show. There has been alot of wrestling "tragedies", but anything short of a premature death has nothing on Roberts'.

Jeke was my favorite as a kid watching Bill Watts' Mid-South/UWF (the best wrestling ever). I always liked Funk and really got into him when he attacked Ric Flair. I also always rooted for Foley. I saw Cactus Jack early in his career in Continental and in Texas and loved him from the start. I love this movie because it spotlighted 3 of my favorites, and because it's pretty well done, but part of me hates it because it is so sad. Especially Jake's parts. That's hard to watch.

I watched my DVD of this last night for the first time since I stopped watching wrestling in (i think) late 2001 early 2002 and it struck me just as hard as it ever did back when wrestling was a part of my life. Truly compulsive viewing. Some of it is like a train wreck where you don't want to see these things but can't look away and other parts were so inspiring they made me want to find and get out my old WWF VHS tapes.
