What? Not fake?

Lets see, you train to learn moves in which you don't get hurt..The ring is as springy as a trampoline..You discuss beforehand what moves you're going to make and who's going to win, and what you're going to say to the cameras..And you say that's not fake?

reply

they are still doing stunts and there is still the possibility of getting hurt

The outcomes and moves are fake, but the pain and what these guys go through is very real.

Here's a good way to look at it: these are actors who do their own stunts before a live audience. I don't know much about the stunt business, but from what I've seen in many behind-the-scenes documentaries on various DVDs, the precautions that Hollywood stunt people have seem a lot safer than the ones that wrestlers have.

uhmmm the ring is nothing like a trampoline, i have actually been inside a ring and i helped set one up as well, all it is under the mat are long thin sheets of wood with thick matting over jt. I stomped my feet and marched around the ring to feel just how "soft" a wrestling ring is andi was shocked. stomoing my foot down hard on that mat was no different from stomping my foot down hard on my living room floor.

yes the matches are scripted, there predetermined "spots" and the result of the match is also predetermined, but shen you have guys sitting in hopsital beds with broken necks and getting surgery its kind of an instult to call prowrestling fake.
