I'm a Republican, and thats my opinion on this matter.
Sadly, it didn't have an ending. The final episode is just another typical stand-alone episode. There was originally going to be a post-series theatrical movie that wrapped the whole thing up, but since the show and toys didn't do as well as hoped, the movie plans were scrapped. :(
