This would so rock as a live action movie!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see this made into a new movie. It would be just plain cool.

Tell me about it... it would be an awesome movie. It's got an great plot, plus the mindless action sequences.

I would love to see this in Live Action or CGI. Just one, non-negotiable condition:

Miller must write or direct, and have complete veto-power over any aspect of the production.

Not too sure about that. That spirit movie kinda sucked.

when this baby hits eighty-eight... you're gonna see some serious *beep*

The problem with "The Spirit" was that the studio marketed it as an action film, when it was actually a satire of the genre. It was supposed to be played for laughs. I'm still amazed that people didn't realize it was a farce right about when the Octopus is explaining that "Toilets are always funny". Miller even makes fun of his own work, just look at the "endless punching" moment in the first Octopus fight, it's an obvious spoof of the end of "That Yellow Bastard".

Unfortunately, the publicity was playing up the wrong aspects of the flick right from the start. Preconceptions really do have a lot to do with how we view a film, no matter how smart or clever we are. It took me up to Miller's own decapitation to see what was really going on in "The Spirit".

It's not just The Spirit - most of what Miller's written in the past decade has stunk. You could see the writing on the wall as far back as 2002(when Dark Knight Strikes Again was released).

I'd be concerned that if it were made into a cgi film that it'd be too much like the recent "Astro Boy" which was kind of a mess.
