When I was younger, I hated "Moody's Point." I would always be so pissed when there would be a few skits, and then Amanda would come out in her black dress and introduce the next episode of MP. I'd rather watch the sketches.
shareIt was supposed to be a parody of Dawson's Creek, which was a melodramatic teen show.
It was a bit different from the other sketches, but I still found it funny.
I thought I was the only one! I remember thinking it was too heavy as an 8 yr old so I always changed the channel whenever it came up. I recently watched a few MP clips on youtube and I laugh at how ridiculous I was being as a child and now I see that it was supposed to be a parody of teen dramas which makes these sketches funnier
shareI honestly disliked it. Moody's point was 2 dramatic, dunno if molly orr was paid to act that way... hated her character out of all girls, probably brie was my favorite or moody... hard to tell. And the laugh tracks from season 1 were perfect! Why did in season 2 and 3 most episodes have the laugh track changed.
shareThis is when the show started to unravel and fall apart. And so they stuck a TV series within a TV series, just like when "Later" ended up showing re runs of SCTV. The third season ended up being very short, only 10 episodes ... 8 of which are basically Moody's Point.
