Was this ever released on DVD/VHS

Was this ever released on DVD/VHS? If it hasn't, it needs to be. If it has, does anyone know where I could find it.

reply

Yes, on VHS, but only briefly. As I understand it, (I could be wrong) it was issued on VHS for the rental market, but not the home video market. I picked up a 'previous rental' copy via ebay long ago. I don't think it was ever on DVD, though it would be near the top of my wishlist for a DVD release. (w/ commentaries & extras & all that junk...!) I was lucky enough to see it in a local art house theatre when it came out. Only ran about a week. (Snagged a poster too!) About a year ago I stumbled on it running late night on cable, and was shocked to see it in color! Love the movie, I recommend the book, too! (Have I gushed enough?)

My understanding is there is a DVD limited run for one of the Chain VHS/DVD rental stores (I can't remember which one, except is wasn't Blockbuster). Not sure though, just something I read once in another blog.

What's the plot of this movie? I never heard of this one before....and I always thought Willeford was great.
