REALLY??? cool.. i am reading the book rite now for class and i love it .. it is soo good. Lol.. thanks for telling us the name of teh second book. i cant wait to find out what happens to Josephine next :D:D

The Second Book "Saving Francesca" is not a sequal to "Looking For Alibrandi"
Its about Francesca Spinelli a teenager dealing with issues living in Sydney.

I love the book, it's one of my favourites. I still think that they could have had the character of Lee from the book as a character in the movie, and Poison Ivy and Carly Bishop as 2 seperate people as well, instead of those 2 characters being combined into the Carly Bishop you see in the movie. The movie follows the book more faithfully than a lot of other book to movie adaptations I've seen as well

Hey, I'm not alone! Lee fits my imagination's version of Thomas. Not quite grunge, but very Punk, the 'fun' type of punk, not the 'wallowing in self-pity' punk. I LOVE LEE AND THOMAS. They both rock, heehee.

My Dad's cousin, Melina, actually wrote it, so as soon as it came out I read it. When the movie came out, my whole family went to see it, and we went down to Sydney for awhile too for it. I loved Saving Francesca, I admit I liked it a bit more than Looking For Alibrandi.

I'm reading it for english and i'm behind my class but when i did watch the movie i was very annoyed how they set it up. Someone should remake this movie true to the book, it will be a hit true to the book!

I've read both of them, just recently. Issues like depression, alienation, and fitting in deeply resonate with me, but I wish I read them when I was in high school, like four or five years ago though. It's hard to choose which I like better. I like bits and pieces of both, so I guess I can't really choose one.

I don't know what to think about the movie so far (I'm watching it right now). It's good, but not nearly as good as the book.

Yeah, I read the book 5 or so years ago for high school and it is still one of my favourites to this day. That's something special as I hate reading books...
The movie however, I didn't like, and that was watching it with an open mind as a media student knowing that movies are not like the books about 99% of the time...I haven't watched it for a long time, but I honestly didn't like it over the other movies we had to watch accompanying books we read in high school.
