Did ANYONE think Cameron did good in this movie???

No I'm not saying she is the greatest Actress, because she's not to high on my list. But for an Actress whose movie credits doesn't contain the most highly thought of roles, I think she deserves some credit for this movie. She had to have a lot of pressure, I mean who wouldn't being in a Scorsese film. Anyway any thoughts or do you agree???

she probably felt pressure for the fact that she was brought in by the studio in order for him to secure that 85 million dollar budget or whatever it was. She wasn't Scorsese's first choice, and therefore I can only imagine he wrung her absolutely dry trying to get the best possible performance out of her. So, yeah, she did all right considering. I think her presence alongside DiCaprio causes many to turn up their nose at its 'commercial' aura, but considering how good both leads were Scorsese could have done a lot worse.

I love the film, but the 1 thing that prevents it from being a masterpiece is the clear mistcasting of Diaz.

To me there were a lot of out-of-place actors in this movie, including DiCaprio; but even though I felt the same about Diaz, she was the least out-of-place of them all. I'll give her that.

Diaz and DiCaprio are both miscast in this movie. I wanted to like it. Daniel Day Lewis was great. But, these other two missed the target in their performances.

DiCaprio miscast in this film? Now that's just silly.

No, it isn't. DiCaprio's an absolutely wonderful actor. But you needed a less megastar actor in this role. You see too much DiCaprio than you do the character.

Ever since I saw it, I've always felt Cillian Murphy would've nailed it. After seeing Peaky Blinders, I can only say I'm right.

I thought Cameron Diaz was an odd choice for the role she was given. But in the end, she was adequate. She doesn't ruin the film as others have maintained, but rather her presence functions as a harmless element.

She did great.

You can knock on Ed Wood but it won't do you no good 'cause all of my heroes are dead in Hollywood

I thought she was good

For the time, Diaz was a bad choice, an excellent opp for her, she did ok.
