Night of the Demons?

This movie is pretty much a total rip off of Night of the Demons. It's pretty cool and fun though.

Yeah I agree. Pretty obvious really...not too bad of a flick though

Except that it doesn't suck, so it's like what Night of the Demons should have been. Also, if the remake sucks I'll just pretend that The Convent was the Night of the Demons remake.

It's annoying when people use TOTAL RIP OFF to describe something that only shares a few superficial similarities to something. Let's see. What did it actually have in common with Night of the Demons? A goth chick, teenagers, demons, an old building, and...that's about it. and that right there describes about 50 horror movies from the 80s, which was kind of the entire point of this movie. it was an obvious parody of the old "teenagers party in an old haunted building and monsters pop out" trope.

A creepy old building with a reputation in a small town that causes people that enter it to become possessed and turn into rabid demons that move like they're on speed and have a pretty similar look when it comes to the prosthetics, it has alot in common with it.

It felt very much like a Night of the Demons sequel (or remake), but that's not a bad thing. It's highly entertaining.

I completely disagree about NOTD being bad, btw, I love the first two of them. The remake was decent, but I think I'd take this over it.

It is, sort of half assed and made into a horror comedy.

I liked this a lot, but I couldn't tell if it wanted to be a spoof or a homage to Night of the Demons.
