I thought this movie was awesome. DJ Qualls was extremely believable as the main character. I did not think he would be able to do it, since he has primarily been in comedies. But he was great. I love this movie, but Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book. So perhaps I am biased. So many crappy movies are ranked higher than this. its absurd.

i hate this film. it's garbage.
Not having read the book or Chasing Amy or anything like that has nothing to do with people not liking this movie. It's just a terrible movie. It's a lame attempt at honoring a great book.
