Just watching the Looking for love episode. The man depicted just seem so sad, desperate and lonely. Painful to watch.

Yeah, I agree. And I learned recently what happened to Lake Palmer, the man who married a Thai lady 3 days after marrying her. Poor foolish guy was dumped after spending thousands on her, and is now living alone and really depressed. See story here: http://www.myspace.com/lakepalmer1

Just finished watch this episode just now. Poor Lake Palmer. I cringed when I saw him talking to his "wife" when he was holding the candle. I wonder if she even knew what he was saying.

I actually really liked Lake. Poor guy had big PTSD problems from his time in the military... so I understand he came over a bit badly. But at the same time he had a kind of warmth to him, and I think he wanted to give and receive affection.

I hope he finds some kind of happiness.

On the other hand, Mr Conrad who ran the other agency came over as a sleazeball.

Yes, but that English guy who runs the match making agency, whose been married three times, is so gross and disgusting.
