I must have missed something about the "Eva" plot : what was the significance of Mme Renard, the lady leading the "Noises" meeting and later heard arguing with Eva on the staires and then seen leaving Eva's building ?

I was impressed how Isabelle Huppert's night on the town avoided her sleeping with three different men !
