Forget the game - make a movie! Starcraft II intro is AWESOME!!!

OMFG

It's awe inspiring. Starcraft is like a mix between Blade Runner's world plus some Alien world plus some war film. It could be a dirty saga!

Yeah, actually, they should make a series of films. MAN! IT LOOKS SOOO GOOD!!!

I would give it to Ridley Scott based in his old visions (both films mentioned above), the fun he could pull off in Gladiator and the amazing war filming he did for Black Hawk Down.

But if he is in doubt, maybe you could get Zack Snyder (assuming all the CGI and blue screen that's gonna be needed) and make him make a gritty stylish sci fi war film. Sci fi epic! It's sweeeet!

And there's so many good characters already. Yep, this could be the best space-action soap opera political thriller possible!

From the moment the convicts are sent from earth to the renegade group, etc.

It gets me all jiggery!

Actually, Blizzard has always been known for making elaborate and beautifully rendered cutscenes / intro sequences.

Both Diablo II and Warcraft III featured production quality CG videos (I know most previous games too, but I've only played those two).

In fact if you think about it, most games nowadays feature eye-popping trailers that trick the buyers into purchasing the software. It's harder to find one game that does not do this. LOL

Anyway, does anyone know if the marine shown in the trailer actually holds some sort of plot significance to Starcraft? I seem to recall some cigar smoking marine from the original Starcraft.
