I was happy for Claire so she didn't have to put up with him anymore. I don't know why they even had Claire crying for him anyway. She didn't even know him that long anyway. A few hours that's it. Give me a break. Claire had nothing to cry over about him.

He served his purpose in the game and now he's dead. So none of us well ever have to see him in another Resident Evil game from here on.

If you listen carefully to the end few sequences, you'll know Steve didn't die... I think the same thing is gonna happen to him, that happend to Wesker and Ada.

I haven't played this game in a while, but isn't he still alive? I thought Wesker told Claire and Chris that his men picked him up to experiment on later.

I usually like him. He can get annoying, but not so much as Barry, or Anette or Ashley. He's pretty ok.
Plus, imagine if/when he shows up in another game? He's going to be all cool like Wesker.
I don't see why people hate him. Probably because he messes up their fantasies about Claire and Leon/Wesker/whoever.

The only thing I didn't like about him was how much ammo he needlessly wasted. He is my favorite Resident Evil character...next to Luis Sera and William Birkin (why do all my favorite characters die?)

Steve Burnside was the gayest and most annoying Resident Evil character yet, and hopefully, ever (his entrance alone, guys!!!) I don't mean gay like stupid, I mean homosexual, times2 and irritating, times2. And I have no prob with gays, but he was annoying on top of that. Claire was fake-crying in case anyone was watching, she hated every moment with him but we all know Claire is a beautiful angel girl and everything, so she put up w/his pathetic soul! Speaking of that, anyone remember how he died? Although I completed the game, I blocked most of it out due to its atrocious nature (miserable game!) Most of the other RE titles are great though, especially the first two (not the remake though!) So anyone remember AnnoyingHomoSteve dies?

leon was originally gonna come out in code veronica, but they didn't want to kill him off, so they made the steve character. steve kinda does look similar to the way leon looked in re2. to me, he was a cheesy character.. it was best that he died. i'm also glad he died cause that bastid kept killing me when you have to run away from him after he turns into a monster lol.
shareHe was a pretty bad character to add in, but his backround was interesting. I also liked how he turned into that monster too, that was probably the best thing about his character.
But other than that, it has to be one of my favorite RE's.

and the bit where he turns into the monster and goes "I LOOOOOOVE YOU CLAIRE" i'm sure she's thrilled that she's loved by a irritating green 16 year old monster.

They should have made the guard, Juan or what was his name now again into the second player. Steve could have been the one left on the island telling Chris about Claire before becoming lunch. I wouldn't have minded if he (the guard) did survive the game.
As for Steve, I've no idea exactly what Wesker is gonna do to him, but as for his death, I'm sure he died cause his body couldn't handle the transformation. And who would blame him?
