I just saw this movie, and I have some questions. Was Howie dead? I thought I saw him eat a bug (maggot?) off his hand. Also, was the mother the bad guy? Last, does the light on in the attic in the end mean someone else is going to kill people. Wait, I just had a thought. Do you think that the mother is going to possess the guy that left the "crazy" house at the end? Just wondering.

Howie's dead. It was the creepy mother who was behind everything. She wanted somebody to watch over Christina's father.
She "possessed" Howie and now she's "possessing" the new guy (at the end). That new guy is the one who turned on the light in the attic at the end. It just shows that it's not over and it's basically Howie2.
