Hamsters Don't Sound Like Gremlins

Well, I had to come up with something because this movie is so cute, Tom Green has gone gold in this adorable romantic comedy. What a coming out debut if I ever saw one.

The story is nicely paced and nicely crafted from chapter to chapter. It's so hard to find decent scene transition in these kinds of movies, romantic comedies tend to feel forced, would it have been so bad if Drew Berrymore played the lead? Afterall they are married? Well, I suppose maybe that sort of thing has never worked out so well in Hollywood, so I suppose that was good thinking, and Brooke was wonderful, though they did not seem to have much chemistry.

The romance was shortened to cut out what they felt was not necessary to the story. I guess we have to assume that she realized she had feelings for him and he did too, shrug, it can happen, I wouldn't dwell on it too much, it is afterall a romantic comedy.

I felt like I had to be fair and say something critical just to appear objective, but all I could come up with was, Hamsters Do Not Sound Like Gremlins.

Did you hear that little fella? He was so adorable. It's been awhile since I saw a cute critter in a movie, I think the last one was Dave Matthews' piglet in Because of Winn Dixie.

The trumpet playing Adagio will always remind me of Jim Morrison's American Prayer, one of my favorite pieces.

What a cute movie, with my kitten sleeping behind me on my chair, curled in a little ball. By the end of the movie they could sell me anything.

That's why I give this movie a grand score of: 8/10
