I don't get it

I just watched this movie today, and I must have missed something... just what happened in the end?? Why did the guy start glowing, and what happened to the bad guy?

Os became a new White Warrior, the gate opened and the "good" of the universe entered him and gave him its power, turning him into a being of energy. Slade became a mortal, and with that change also felt emotion for the first time, and guilt and regrett. Thus he has to learn humanity. My only gliche in this is he showed more of what human nature is as the bad guy.

You actually know this or are you just assuming??

reply

the last part of the movie said it while Os was floating over the others, and as for Slade being more like a human as a bad guy just look at the news

Black Wolf a three year old wouldn't even like this movie, and i don't know about you but a three year old is not a thinking man. Why do you know so much about what happens in this movie? Don't tell me you've seen it more than one time! The whole movie was a laugh from begining to end, and I don't think that was the intention. Oh by the way can you recomend some other movies to me?

reply

Yes I have seen this movie more then once and I am a avid thinker, reader of the old fashioned thing called books and of course like computers and movies. As for how I know so much abought the movie I read the short story it was based on plus seeing the movie 4 times. As for it being a laugh to you well I am sorry it was a thinking movie to show how even a evil can find good, ie. Darth Vader type given the right reason.
Of other movies to see if you like action movies and a lot of gighting try Pray for Death or Revenge of the Ninja staring Sho Koshogui. Or if you like twisted ending movies try Fraility with Bill Paxton. Or bizzare movies American Psycho and American Psycho 2

Wow I can't believe you actually recommended American Psycho 2 to somebody. That is just so wrong. It makes me want to think that you're joking in all your posts about Invincible ...

...but American Psycho was a good movie, and some people I know truly did like Frailty (it was okay, but nothing special), so I guess that means you're serious.

Wow. Yeah. I wrote a big long review of just what makes American Psycho 2 such an intolerable piece of junk. Check out my review sometime. I can't believe you recommended it to people. That's sadistic.

I definitely don't want to see Invincible now. My fear of utterly wasting 90 minutes is overwhelming my curiosity.

This was a horrible movie and it was a lot worse than American Psycho 2. I would never recommend either one.

Namaste, and good luck.

Seen it, loathed and loved it.

i agree with Wolf, it's a beautiful movie about good and evil. If you look past the dodgy acting this movie seems rife with, you will actually see the message that it tries to put out there...

Love > Hate
Good > Evil
etc.

However, I think the same message might have been brought across by simply pasting all of BIlly Zane's monologue's (not sure 'bout the spelling) together and running that. But with an open mind that's free of cynicism, you might still find the entire movie enjoyable or even inspirational...

I know I did

I remember this movie and the trailers on TBS said it would be more interesting and it was less fighting more talk..blah blah blah..

though billy zane was cute lol

Of course, if one exspects the usual martial arts movie including ending then he'll most likely get disappointed. So, face it, this isn't about martial arts. And actually I enjoyed Os' constand babbling about love and all. Why? Well, because Billy Zane delivered that role PERFECTLY: He was constantly smiling and making jokes about it, he always had a face expression that basically said "Hey, I KNOW that it sounds cheesy as hell but what can I do, it's the truth".
My favourite scene is when the four elements are sleeping and Slate and Os are talking, trying to convince each other to turn sides. The way they had this conversation, two former team partners that are now on opposite sides but still know andlike each otehr was just great. Yes, this movie could have been executed better and it was cheesy but I can nothing but applaude to the guts they had to continue like this throughout the entire movie. I am also glad that they left religion out of this. One single mention of god, faith or something like this and the movie would have been ruined.
Oh and I get a blast out of the fact that thousands of viewers seem to be puzzled and dazed that a "martial arts" movie has an ending where the bad guy doesn't get sliced into pieces by the good guy :)
