If you liked this, read 'War Of The Rats', the book its based on. Much better.

The sniper standoffs were well handled and it was an undeniably well-mounted production, but I thought the script and performances were largely second rate. 4/10

Jude Law's character was a real person as was Rachel Weisz's Tania. But the sniper duel is considered largely apocryphal. Aside from Zaytsev's account, there's no proof of Konig (Ed Harris) even existing.

You'd think a movie about snipers would be very accurate...
