I agree...I have tried to address this view in my review and in my explanation of some of the elements that baffled the reviewers who seem to need every little detail spelled out and can't seem to take time to think for themselves. I think this film has been mercilessly panned by those too lazy to really pay attention to what they are seeing. Yes, the supporting actors were not Oscar contenders, but their very inanity contrasted to the horrible events made it all that more convincing, and Lise and Jake the two main characters were really quite good despite a script that needed a good deal more work.
