This is much earlier then Cube, but all the comments seem to talk about it in a similar way. One of the two reviews said there was 4 people trapped in a room. I'm pretty sure Cube had more, so he must have been talking about this film and not making a mistake. So if it is similar, is there a link?
shareI have no idea, I'm confused too. Either this is where Vincenzo Natali got his idea, or somebody got confused and enterd it into the database with a whole lot of incorrect deatails. I don't know which it could be tho, i'm pretty sure that Vincenzo Natali's Cube was an original concept...Also, it doesn't really make sense for this to be animated, either. Very confusing...
shareGuys, how's this for a concept-- This film (THE CUBE) is a 1980 animated short. Period. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Candian live-action horror flick (CUBE) done nearly two decades later.
Second concept you'll have to accept as it builds on the first-- fans of CUBE are in such a rush to post comments about their film that they cannot distinguish it from any other flick with the word "cube" in its title. So they are posting a lot of completely erroneous material about completely unrelated flicks.
So-- this is an animated short film that appatrently no one on IMDb has actually seen or even seems to know much about.
Yes. I now know that. But if we know so little about it how can we not link it with something we DO know something about? It's human nature. We don't like not knowing. There is a little review saying something with absolutely no detail, but which sounds a similar concept to cube. Is it such a hard CONCEPT for you to understand that anybody with a brain would at least think they sounded similar.
shareIf you know so much about it then why doesn't somebody add a cover image or a summary or a link to a youtube or torrent of this movie? This is a pretty weak imdb entry and I have yet to gain any information on what this film actually is or where I could actually watch it.
