Why is there an adult rating?

What is in this video that's so bad

reply

It's R because of nudity and language, that's all.

reply

But it's an 18 in UK, is the nudity that bad?

reply

What do you mean by 18? Does that just mean you have to be 18 to watch? Because that is what it is here as well, 18 years old to get into an R or higher.

reply

In the UK it means no one under 18 can buy/rent or go see an 18, they can still watch it in the comfort of their own home though. But having an unlimited amount of F-Bombs still wouldn't get you an 18 so I assume it was the nudity that got it the 18.

reply

Here in America the repeated use of the F word will give it a R rating. PG-13 you are allowed to say it once, anymore it gets a R rating.

I know that (though some films like Ghost Town have more F-bombs), i'm just wondering why it's an 18 in UK, hence "is the nudity that bad?", is there anything else like violence or drugs?

reply

There is nudity, but not too much, there is a lot of drugs and a bit of violence which all contribute to the R rating. I honestly cannot remember that much nudity. Just the standard flashing's that was seen at concerts. I would say the ratings had more to do with the drugs and violence.
