THE BIGGEST SHOCK ENDING IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY (Spoilers!)

Who in the world could've saw this ending happen, I was speechless at first and then went, "Oh, man, what the hell just happened here?!" No one could believe it after all this time, she dies!(Of course, she didn't really die as you find out in Chronicles and she returns in Angel of Darkness and Legend!)

But, uh, who was shocked by the ending of Last Revelation, when you first played it?

If you read the novel "amulet of power" it tells you how she survived and leads you to the start of the AoD events. Id recommend it.

Yeah the rocks all covered the doorway when she was hanging on for dear life. vernere couldn't gte to her in time

I must admit when I was younger, and I heard she was going to die, I actually believed it ad shed a tear or MORE!

She got stuck inside the Tomb of Semerket when the door slammed shut on her, due to Von Croy removing the Amulet of Horus, but in the end the Temple of Horus crumbles beneath Lara and the Great Pyramid collapses. Watch the cut scene again.

I was pretty annoyed. After playing for weeks and being stuck on several levels you finally got to finish the game. I never liked the non linearity of the levels in Last Revalation so when Lara apparently died in the end I thought that was a horrible reward for trying to finish the game. First I thought I had missed something and got a bad ending (I had experienced the same with Silent Hill some months before) but it turned out Lara dying in the end was the ending. Lara triumphs in the end and goes home is the usual ending. In James Bond movies you know he defeats the villain and all is well until next time and after three games you expected the same with Lara Croft.

I know, that's what I thought was going to happen in this one, I like TR1, TR2, and TR3, but, I was so shocked at this one's ending, stunned for like ten minutes, muttering to myself and wondering just what the hell just happened here? But, it's still a great franchise, not the same now though.

Yeah when I first saw the ending I was like "Damn man wtf just happened?"...and then I felt a little sad because I thought she'd died.

I actually wish TLR was the final TR game (excluding chronicles of course, I enjoyed that), the newer games on PS2 are pretty crappy and just don't feel the same.

Negative-Juan, I agree with you, I really think that the new games don't feel Tomb Raider-like, especially Legend. Lara talked different, acted different.

Lara doesn't usually talk like that, it was cool that they gave her some personality, but she had that already, how she joked with Zip, Pierre & Larson in Chronicles, how she took joy in showing Eckhardt the shards in AOD, just to name a few. I think the graphics in the new games are great, but something is missing, same with the new Tekkens and new Driver games.
