well out of ALL the MK games the 2D ones (especially MK3/UMK3 arcade) are FAR better than any of the 3D ones.
but that said, i think out of the three 3D ones so far (Deadly Alliance/Deception/Armageddon) i think Deadly Alliance is the worst and Deception was the 2nd best and Armageddon is the best... cause the combo system felt weird in Deadly Alliance vs Deception/Armageddon.
so overall even though the 3D MK games still easily beat all other 3D fighting games to date they cant even hold a handle to the 2D MK games (mainly MK3/UMK3 Arcade versions as these are the best fighting games of all time)
so in other words i would not go any higher than a 8/10 for any of the 3D MK games where as i would not go less than a 9/10 for MK3/UMK3 Arcade version (although i give those two a easy 10/10) and i would not go less than a 8/10 for MK2 or even MK1 even though MK1 was just overall flat out worse than MK2 was in just about every way but Nostalgia alone still makes MK1/MK2 fun to play from time to time ;)
im 28 years old now and i was around 15-16years old back in the good ol days when i used to play MK3/UMK3 (and some of MK2, i never played MK1 in the arcades, if i did it was maybe once-ish) in the arcades.
but now i have all the arcade versions on my PC using the MAME emulator :)
