I was excited, but not wholey surprised. Spielberg has always had a fascination with WW2. I mean even before Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List, which he doesn't really consider to be a war film, movies like Raiders were kind of fantasy windows into the geo-political movement during the 1930s. He's always had a fascination for WW2 era planes, one of the reasons he wanted to do Empire of the Sun with Christian Bale and John Malkovich. I hear he was to do another miniseries about WW2, this one about the pacific theater. His father was in the war, I believe he was a camera operator for the Air Force. And his father inundated him with stories about the war and planes. So early in his life, Spielberg felt the allure of WW2 stories and elements.

I was excited as well!

Does anyone know if he is going to have anymore credits in anymore Medal of Honors?

reply

Well he created the series, so he will most likely always get credit. I think it's missing from the latest so perhaps that credit expired, I don't know how this works for video games. But the series has taken another turn these days anyway, more action based than the cool storylines.
