The FACTS:

-After 150 years of scientific study, the only proven health problem from cannabis is that its smoke can be linked to bronchitis.

-Marijuana smoke contains potential carcinogens, but there are no proven cancers. The risk can be reduced by taking smaller inhalations and exhaling in a few seconds, by using a "vaporizer" to release THC without burning, or by eating it. May cause drowsiness, distraction or anxiety. Moreover, it is a safe and effective medicinal herb with proven therapeutic value in treating hundreds of symptoms and ailments, including glaucoma, MS, asthma, arthritis, cancer, AIDS, epilepsy, nausea, anorexia, depression, stress, etc.

-The US Institute of Medicine (IOM) determined in 1999 that "Except for the harms associated with smoking, the adverse effects of marijuana use are within the range of effects tolerated for other medications."

-Judge Francis Young studied the evidence, and ruled in 1988 that "marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume."

Ok, I may have spelled it incorrectly but it's true, there has never been a death from pot use, and you know the same thing cannot be said about over the counter pain medications. By the way these boards are the place for futility. Bust me for spelling? I'll let you know if that keeps me up all night.

Bruce Lee was rumored to smoke hash, and yet at the end of the day, he was killed by a simple allergy to headache medicine. I challenge you to find me even ONE death caused by pot allergies, much less overdose (and Rhesus monkeys don't count - said monkeys died of ASPHYXIATION, they strapped them to gas masks and just kept lighting up for them until they died)

There's an episode of a show called "Bulls hit" (Put them together to get the title) where they talk about drugs and they point out that Alcohol and Tobacco have killed thousands (Yet they're legal) while Pot is simply not toxic enough to kill you and it's not legal, go figure

I dont know if i would say that John Waters rules, but he definately is interesting noway234-1. Im from Maryland myself, and believe it or not ive run into him at least 5 times. He must still live in Baltimore because hes still always around there.

Why Marijuana isn't bad: It's a plant and doesn't have the decision making skills to be either good or bad. It's all in the people that use it.
