The real Joe Besser DID take a pie in the face in 'Pie and Guys'

Well, first of all, they portrayed Joe Besser to be a complete d*ck like he was completely reluctant to take the pie in the face. Also, you'd think Joe would tell the producers that he's not taking a pie to the face before shooting. So he waits until the very last second to tell them that he's not doing right when they're shooting the scene? It's obvious the scene is fiction because I just now watched the "Pie and Guys" short and he wacked in the face with a pie two times. They also made it out like Joe didn't even like the stooges when in fact he must have when the real Joe Besser payed his up most respect to them when he went to almost all of their conventions when he was alive.

I get really tired of all this Joe Besser hate. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the film that made everyone hate him. While his Stooge shorts were really bad, I really don't blame him. I blame the writers. Also, a lot of Stooge fans say that he doesn't get hit. He does get hit, just not as much as the other stooges. I mean Joe did take plates to the head and he got burned with a blow torch for Christ sake. I still say Joe is better than Curly Joe because at least Besser tried to be funny. I found Derita to be incredibly bland.
