Better than 2012 movie?
I noticed this one is rated 6.7 and the newer one 5.0. Do you agree that this one is better?

Not even remotely. This movie is meant to be a biography--although much of it is either wrong or never actually happened--and the 2012 one isn't. All things considered this film isn't all that bad, but IMO the 2012 one is far, far better--better written, better made, better performed (plus it has Kate Upton in a bikini).
